Das Weiherer Rauch, das beim European Beer Star mit der Goldmedaille prämiert worden ist, besticht nicht nur mit glänzendem goldfarbenen Aussehen, sondern vor allem durch seine fein-würzigen Rauchmalznoten. Allein der Geruch lässt sie eindeutig erkennen, doch zeigen sie sich auf ihrem Höhepunkt erst beim Genuss. Da kommt der ganze weiche, niemals zu heftige Malzkörper zum Vorschein, der eingehüllt ist in die zarten Hopfennoten. Da bleibt der Hauch von Rauch auch noch, wenn der letzte Schluck getrunken ist. Ein Bier, das auch nicht-Rauchbier-Kenner überzeugt.

Fogged gold with good white frothy head. Aroma and taste: pale malt, rich smoke, fruity and spicy notes. Light sweet and bitter. Mouth feel: medium minus body, average carbonation. Summary: good.

500 ml bottle, bb 21.07.2022, shared by Werckmeister, thanks! Golden, clear body, with a big, creamy, lacing, off-white head. Aroma of smoked wood, bacon, bread, some biscuit, some grains. Tastes quite similar, with more grains and some floral hops. Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes smooth, medium dry, smokey, wooden, a bit sweet, grainy, a bit floral. Nice one. Not as satisfying as a Schlenkerla for example, but a really solid, traditional Rauchbier. I'm missing a bit more body, while it's quaffable and well balanced. Score: 7 / 4 / 7 / 3 / 14

0,5l bottle at home shared with Saeglopur, bought from Bierothek Vienna. BB 21.07.2022. golden clear color, medium big white head. smells bacon, spices, light caramel, tobacco, nice to very nice smell. medium body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, tobacco, lightly smoked, light bacon, peppery, bit sweaty, spices. finishes lightly sweet with notes of smoke, bacon and peppery notes. pretty good one, liked the smell very much, taste was a bit too subtle and light, overall rather drinkable though.

Light hazy blond colour, white foam. Rather lively carbonation. Nose of smoked ham, meat, some light sourish notes. Not the most balanced, but good rauchbier. Thanks Dominik!

Tap, Lajbah. Clear golden, medium white head, ok lasting. Heavily smoked nose, lots of bacon notes. Mild sweetness, gentler smokey feeling. Mild bitterness. Light, almost a bit watery. Lasting, gentler smokey aftertaste. Heavily smoked on the nose, but ok in the taste.
