There’s nothing quite like your first taste. Hop farmers are breeding insane new flavors—one sip and you’ll be hooked. To truly harness these new flavors though, you’ve got to dabble a bit and test them out. The new hop blend blew our minds, so for DABBLE, we’re taking our experiment full scale with massive loads of hops so everyone can experience it. Sabro provides an incredible coconut note, Cashmere brings a soft, delicate complexity, and Idaho 7 brings potency and depth. Dip a toe in—dare to DABBLE.

Pours very hazy orange. The aroma is hop led with citrus and floral notes. The hop heavy flavors somewhat unusual. There's some citrus and resin, but also hints of coconut and I'm not sure what else. It's on the sweet side even for a hazy. As I noted in another review, that seems to be a trend with Sixpoint hazy IPAs. Personally I like more bitterness, but this is interesting.

Ridiculously hazy golden and yellow coloured body with a thick, three to four centimetre tall that takes a few minutes to fade. Aroma of tropical fruits, vinegar, alcohol, funk, grain and a heavy dose of coriander seed and unfinished wort - very interesting nose. Medium-bodied; Deep robust tropical fruit, grassy, hay and especially vinegary flavour from the hops with a heavy dose of citrus throughout and a large hit from the malts that provide some balance and punch, but the hop, bitterness and funk remain more prevalent. Aftertaste shows the citrus, tropical fruits, hop bitterness, deep grainy malt and a dash of tartness and vinegar on the very end - quite strong and deep throughout, but especially on the end. Overall, a decent and increasingly funky Imperial-ish IPA with a lot of tropical fruits and funky bitterness from the hops and less so from the complexity from the other side (malt) of the equation. I sampled this twelve ounce tall can purchased from Total Wine in Towson, Maryland on 27-May-2019 for US$2,99 sampled in my hotel room after just arriving into TriBeCa, New York, New York on 07-June-2019.

12 ounce can from Woodman’s Appleton, 5/29/19. Been forever since I had a Sixpoint beer, and even longer since I insulted the brewery while unknowingly sitting next to the head brewer at a bar. He took it well. Fun story. Murky orange, thin fizzy white head, fair retention. Aroma of tropical fruit, earth, stone fruit (maybe even a bubblegum note—weird), spice. Taste is lime, tropical fruit, pepper, mango, papaya, citrus, pale malt, some umami and yuzu. Medium bodied, mild bitterness. Interesting. This is weird rating.

Can, bb 8/19. Pretty much opaque brownish orange - despite the fact that I kept the worst of the murk in the can - with a white head. 3- Intriguing juicy aroma with oranges, sherbet-like notes, sweet biscuits, pineapple, a hint of paint thinner. Really sweet with a finish that's more astringent than bitter. That sweetness is a bit suffocating and combined with the murk it's all a bit dulling.

From a 355ml can on 21/5/2019. Pours a murky light golden with a small head. The nose is dank, with lots of citrus zest and tropical notes. The flavour features biscuit malt, and lots of sweet fruit - again tropical and citrus. It finishes with a fairly gentle, slightly spicy bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate to average carbonation. Drinks too easily for 8.2%. Very enjoyable but not life changing.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a murky orange color with a huge foamy white head that left exceptional lacing. The aroma was solvent and golden fruit. The flavor was bitter with grapefruit, pineapple, solvent and a hint of bubblegum. Long finish. Medium body.

Can from a Lazy Dog. Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a decent sized off white head that persists. Fruity light caramel and bready maltiness with some faint earthy citrus and pine. Decent but a bit sweet for my tastes. Canned in JAN says good till July. Maybe would have been better if fresher.
