Bottle from Tesco, Guildford. This particular branch had a lot in its world food aisle, presumably as it's near the uni residences. Aroma is rich and malty. Earthy. Fungus. Nougat. Dark. Fluffy foamy beige head. Abrupt sweet sour berry edged intro, before liquorice and coffee bitterness sweeps in. Malty hickory earthy edge. Funghi-esque streak. As I imbibe a sweet molasses streak asserts itself. The bitterness really gains traction. Light-medium bodied. Well... wants to be slick but there's a grainy mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. For a macro offering it packs a punch but I am also not overly keen... perhaps it's the sorgam?

Really nice, doesn't taste like Guinness. The main ingredient after water is sorghum, a popular ingredient in Nigerian beer, and it's a lot more hoppy than any Guinness I've had. The bottle has clearly been halfway around the world.

Brownish black, plenty of coarse light brown foam. Smell is a bit odd, mostly Guinness like but with something lightly vegetal in there. Watery, high carbonation. Taste is somewhat roasty, and quite bitter. Can't place why, but something odd in there. Meh

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, smoked ham and chocolate. Flavour of dumpling, Dr Pepper and copper. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Sharp and interesting.

Bottle. Black, thick beige head. Cocoa and berry jam aroma, sweet wood (?). Dry, roasted flavour, slightly harsh cocoa, almost woody dryness and some more of that weird berry-like thing. Not very good but fair enough for an African country tick.

Bottle from Tescos. Black pour with a tan head. Coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, brown sugar aromas. Taste is dark berries, chocolate raisin, coffee, more liquorice. Robust, tasty brew.
