650ml bottle

Pours dark orange with a thick white head. Aroma of berries, caramel, toffee, gooseberries, grass and herbal spicy notes. Taste is crisp, herbal and caramely with hints of gooseberries and vegetables. Finish is crisp, grassy and earthy with hints of malts and herbal notes. A bit unbalanced, doesn’t feel super fresh.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear a bit rusty orange to light amber color, full sized creamy white head. Aroma is malts, hops, some fruityness. Taste malts, hops, decently fruity, a hint of resin. Decent to medium body and carbonation.

Amber color, hazy, medium sized head. Powerful hop aroma, caramel, lightly cheesy, puke; interesting. Semi-dry mouthfeel; strong caramel flavor with a toffee touch; strong bitterness, with resins and some fruits.
Quite heavy on the malts, but fairly good.

Golden-amber. Light frothy head. The hops are a bit floral, a bit peachy but not all that fresh. Sweet malts are up front, a dash of alcohol as well, and then the rather old hops come knocking. Really fresh this is probably better but there’s no date on the bottle.

Very hazy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is minerally crisp. Creamy malt with big crystal malt caramel and a little toffee. Nice malt base! Big and bitter marmalade hops with a contrasting pine. Finishes smooth with a barleywine like salty bitterness and bitter linger. Overall quite barleywine like in character. Nice!

Sample at SBWF 2013. Clear copper with a small head. Aroma and taste of hops, biscuits, grape, mango, orange and some light earth. Actually quite soft and easy to drink. The finish was dry.

Share courtesy of MikeJslc. It pours with a clear copper body that supports a white head of foam. The aroma offers up some sweetness, malts, biscuit malt, a bit of sweet orange hard candy and faint resiny hoppiness. The taste has a resiny hop character and seems to lack hop depth and flavor which prevents it from tying in with the various malt notes. I get a bit of esteriness here and there too as a bit of grapefruit citrus notes pop up near the finish. This seems disjointed.

Bottle. Pours reddish amber with off white head. Nose/taste of abrasive resin, caramel, sap, tree bark, pine and hints of rubbing alcohol. Overly abrasive bitter finish. Medium body.
