Kettle Series. When hopportunity knocks, answer it. This ale is Caldera’s rendition of answering the Pacific Northwest call for a @*! pile of Centennial hops with a big beer to back it up. Don’t get left out in the cold, open up and fill the void within you . . .

Can from tderoeck. Hazy amber colour, creamy white foam. Medium carbonation. Sweet nose of pine, caramel and tropical fruit. Bit aged, so reminds me a bit of a hoppy barley wine. Not bad.

4/VII/15 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ RBBSG IV - BB: n/a, canned: XII/3/2014 (2015-835)
Clear amber beer, creamy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, honey, oxidized, sweet, strawberry jam. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet malty start, bitter hops, some citrus, very fruity, grassy, some caramel. Aftertaste: sweet malts, honey, pretty bitter, bit fruity. Just simply too old to be good any more. Don't give an ipa over 6 months, even in a can. Or at least not this one...

Can. Nose is.... unexpected, caramel, biscuit, fruity hops. Taste is malty, sweet, with a slight resin and citrus rind with herbal hops a malty sweet fruit sweet with resin bitter finish. I don’t like this beer very much at all. The sweet fruit notes are sickly and the malt to present.

Can from Great Grog. Clear amber body with a thin beige head. Low carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of floral hops, caramel and blood orange. Flavour of lightly roasted malts, parma violets and lime jelly. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Lovely malt profile to this. Drinks very easily.
