Backlog from 2019. Amber pour with a white head. It has a big citrus hop aroma. The flavor is full of citrus and resin hop bitterness and solid malt backbone with some sweetness. Some alcohol is also apparent. It’s intense and excellent.

20th Aug 2019, monthly Shrewsbury Beer Exchange, Chez Sophie. Cheers Simon for this can of alcohol. Golden amber body, slight haze, white head. Caramel sweetness throughout, some piney, resinous hop action too, very 'boozy'. I liked it.

330ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 19. Thanks Simon for bringing this back from NY. Misty gold appearance, white head. Sticky sweet aroma, continuing to taste, big sticky sweet resinous taste, probably overly sweet for me, but it is a TIPA and does it well.

On tap at Arts and Crafts Amsterdam Ave. Pours deep orange. Caramel, orange peel, grapefruit, toffee, bit of a boozy heft to it. Good body. A refreshing change from the usual hazy IIPAs around NYC, even if it is a little overpowering.

12 ounce can into tulip glass; canned on 2/16/2019, best before 8/15/2019. Pours slightly hazy deep golden/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Slight booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, fairly sticky/resinous/rindy, and slightly slick balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 11.1%. Overall this is a fantastic TIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish; not overly aggressive. Feels like Columbus, Citra, Simcoe. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a good sized dark/bready malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example for the ABV. Not overly sweet/heavy. Did not prefer it over the regular version.

From a 355ml can on 19/5/2019. Pours a clear medium golden with a small head. The nose is heavy, intense, sweet, fruity and dank. Tastes very sweet upfront, with oodles of apricot, peach, orange mango and pineapple against a caramel malt backbone. The sweetness is met with a big resiny, boozy bitterness. Has a slick syrupy texture with moderate carbonation. A huge and extreme yet quite smashable brew.

12 ounce tube can. Amber orange pour. Small creamy beige head. Resiny pine hop nose. Big bittersweet toasted hop flavor upfront. More sweet resiny, pine notes. Chewy, sticky mouthfeel. Cloyingly sweet, malty finish. Interesting brew that is somewhat remiscent of Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA.
