2017 version at 7% hopped with Styrian Wolf. Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is bready malt, caramel, stewed ripe fruits, peach, yeasty and some spicy notes, mild citrus. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Fairly enjoyable beer, but a bit messy, lacks coherency.

Bottle 0,33ltr: This 2017 version is cloudy amber/brown colored with an dry bitter taste with some sweetness. Hints of caramel, dried fruits and some citrus. This is no Heller Bock it is something different, probably Belgian Strong Ale.

0.33 l bottle from ’Wines & More’ (Leiden), 2016 version at 8.5%. Hazy, golden amber with a massive, dense, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, quite yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity aroma of pear, honey, clove and some peach. Sweet, quite yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity taste of lots of clove, pear, peach and some honey, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, rather yeasty-spicy and moderately peppery-alcoholic finish. Medium body, very effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Unfortunately overcarbonated, and the alcohol isn’t hidden that well either. Could have been a really nice beer actually.

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours murky amber brown with s small tan head. Aroma of yeast, fruits, light citrus and some old dish water. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with orange peel and citrus coming out more in the palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
