Mikkie = Cattivella is a Crème Brûlée Stout Brewed by Peter van der Arend & Giovanni Campari.
Mikkie = Cattivella is the housebeer of 'cause BEER loves FOOD, but also available at the other Morebeer bars; Proeflokaal Arendsnest, BeerTemple en Craft & Draft.
Stout is also the dutch word for 'naughty' which inspired Peter to name the beer Cattivella, which means 'cheeky' in Italian. And as far as the name Mikkie is concerned, well, Peter knows who she is.

Aroma of malt, cocoa powder, lots of vanilla, milk chocolate, crème brûlée, coffee, cream. Flavour is sweet. This is a very fine ’dessert beer’, sweet but not cloying and the flavours are in balance.

Can, 9.5%. Port, almond aroma. Black colour, seems hazy. Good stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted and sweetish with a citric note, but not sour. Creamy coffee finish. Hard roasted finish. Not as sweet as expected.

17/VIII/21 - on tap @ Craft & Draft (Amsterdam), BB: n/a (2021-848) Thanks to the misses for going on a beer tour with me!

Clear dark brown to black beer, big creamy beige head, stable, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: chocolate notes, some caramel, gentle roasted notes, sweet impression, bit malty. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: nice bitterness, good roast, sweet touch, lots of caramel. Aftertaste: little sweet, some vanilla, chocolate, slightly sourish, bit dry in the finish, very nice one.

A very nicely restrained and balanced pastry stout. Bitterness is offset perfectly by the sweetness. Just enough boozy strength to make it feel like a big stout. Beer loves food Amsterdam
