Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Hazy very dark to reddish color, full sized off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is fruits, berries and a touch of sweet candy. Taste wheat, a little sweet, a little hop, but also a touch of herbs or spices, not sour at all, a slight hint of bitter in the end. Meh, don’t really like it. Weird and not my thing I guess.

Bottle shared at craft clerko. Clear reddy, caramel coloured pour with a nice big lasting light tan head. Aroma is earthy woody, little perfume, twig, slight funk, dusty. Flavour is light woody, earthy light twig, slight funk, little apple and pear. A little underwhelming. Palate is medium light bodied, little airy carbonation, slight sweet. Little funk but not much.

Buena.

Bottle at home, thanks to JF, 29/03/14. Hazed dark amber chestnut brown with a big old light beige covering that retains well. Nose is dark fruits, toffee, light spice, damp wood notes, faint herbal. Taste comprises ripe dark fruit, woody, good bretty twang, toffee, dank straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok sour, nice easy drinker but little complexity, solid brett licks tho’.

Clear amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of candy, malts, yeast and brett. Bitter flavour, honey, malts, light brett. Bitter, malty finish. Nice, bit reminiscent of Orval.

Bottle picked up at Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgium, Feb’ 2014 consumed at home, Sunday 16th March 2014 Pours a slight reddy amber colour with large sticky small bubbly head. Nicely sour, in fact its quite sweet & sour with an elegant dry finish (don’t know why I said elegant just thought it suited the moment) surprisingly soft mouthfeel, and even a little dark dried fruits noted here amongst the sweet but fruity tang. If you’ve never had a sour/wild ale you could do a lot worse than starting your journey here its a good and very easy drinking sour. I like this. A7 A4 T8 P3 Ov15 3.7

Bottle at Mr Hangover’s 2014 Nieuwjaarsborrel, Den Haag. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is a little skunky citrus fruit and yeast. The flavour is weak sour with a watery veggie light fruit palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not a whole lot going on here and not so good.
