Ridiculously deep pink, ruby and especially lavender coloured body with a nasty, ugly large-bubbled violet head that fades to nothing just a few seconds later, with a purple, ninety five per cent opaque glow. Aroma of lactose, citrus, grapefruit, resin, honey, flowers, raspberries a nd a dry dose of hay - quite strong and very complex in the nose, just not any of an IPA scent! Medium-bodied; Very interesting, super dry funky malt and yeast flavours show at first with a lot of lactose, cream, curacao and grapefruit noticeable, but some softer grassy, hay, floral and tea-like notes finish this off with the tart and dry hibiscus definitely noticeable at the end. Aftertaste shows a rich very complex beer, but much more of a sour/tart beer than anything else, and closer to a dry saison than any IPA, even a 'milkshake IPA'. Overall, at least this one is interesting, complex and robust, but no way is this any sort of an IPA! At least I drank it real fresh and I very much enjoy hibiscus, but this isn't great for the style, but nice to try for those who may be wondering about how it would come together from the label. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Bread and Honey in New York (8th Ave @ 56th St), New York on 20-December-2020 for US$6,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-January-2021.

Can, from City Beer. Pours hazy pomegranate red with small foamy pink head, faint grassy hops aroma, high carbonation, medium sour lemon peel taste with faint peach-hibiscus aroma, thin body, long medium sour finish. Despite my misgivings when I read the label, it was quite nice.

Five Boro Craft Beer Fest. Pours bright red. Peach, lemon, tart, lime, bit of sweetness. Good body. Fun.
