Deep black colour, brown foam. Nose of roasted malts, coffee, syrup, cognac, some vinous notes and dark chocolate. Roasty, bitter and a sweet cognac aftertaste. World class stout!

Bottle split at the Grand Reunion Tasting at MM, Big thanks to Dave, 20/05/21. Black with a good sized tan cap that clears to a swirl. Nose is dark chocolate, spice, dried fruits, vinous, nice barrel layer, umami, roasted tones. Taste comprises chocolate, cognac splash, dried fruits, charr, bitter roast, crystalised brown sugars. Full bodied, fine carbonation, balanced rising boost. Solid stuff ... holding up very well.

Bottle shared at Colin's place. Many thanks to Wingman for this one. A jet black coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is big meaty roast, metal, cakey malts, liquorice, meaty roast. Flavour is composed of umami, meaty roast, bitter roast, big bitter burnt cake, metal,. Paalte is medium bodied, mellow carbonation.. Big, super rich.

Bottle by way of trade. Pours black with a dirty tan head. Aroma is molasses, treacle, cognac barrel, hazelnut. Taste is cognac, molasses, chocolate, hazelnut, loads of booze on finish but we'll balanced in. Lovely

Flarra 2017 bryggd. med PQ på tre små rum. Ölen doftar åhhhhh så komplext av diverse sjukt goda grejer. Dadlar, Fikon, träfat, vanilj, konjak Smakar typ likadant 👏👏. Här en superkomplex öl som givetvis är lågt kolsyrad och INTE har nåt jävla kaffe skit i. Köp köp

Brunsvart vätska. Dofter av mörkrostat kaffe och choklad. Massiv smak av mörk choklad och kaffe. Väldigt söt. Lång eftersmak.

25cl bottle pours an inky black with some khaki head. Good nose, nice barrel to it, licorice, malt, molasses. The booze is there but it's very inviting. Flavor is also quite good, cognac and also whiskey, charred barrel, caramel, molasses, malt. Finish is crazy smooth.

My favorite Närke Kaggen so far. Maple syrup in the aroma. Hints of licorice, honey and cognac in the aroma and flavor. The oak and cognac are especially clearly noticeable in the flavor. Can’t wait for an Islay version. 2010 sample from tap @ Borefts 2012. Roast, coffee, oak, maple syrup and cognac in the aroma. Sweet, amazingly complex tart flavor. Coffee, brandy, dried red fruit. Oak. Some alcohol. Almost as divine as the samples I had at Borefts 2010.
