We gave our classic Hoponius Union a tropical fruit twist to create Hoponius on Holiday. This IPL combines cold lager fermentation with a West Coast IPA hop profile. A blend of classic American hops accentuates the tropical fruit flavors and lends a citrusy aroma. A refreshingly crisp finish complements the pleasant bitterness of the hops and leaves you wanting more.

16 oz. can purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Canning date of 12-7-17. Appearance is a cloudy straw color, normal carbonation. Aroma is bold juicy grapefruits, mango pulp, citrus rind. The flavor is a direct reflection of the aroma. Lots of juicy grapefruit. Bitterness is almost nothing. Finishes on mild tart fruit. Light body and a nice crisp texture. Overall, for a IPL, real enjoyable.

Pours murky mango into a shaker. Bright white head with little retention recedes I nothing. Papaya and mango aromas. Soft with guava, citrus and papaya upfront turning to resin in the chalky finish.

Cans at brewery: pours a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is a load of citrus and other tropical fruits like some pineapple. Taste is slightly sweet and very fruity with an interesting lager finish. Just as good as many NE IPAs on the market.
