(Tap) clear, bright, very dark brown color with a small brown head; aroma of smoke, grain; smooth palate; balanced flavour with a long, very light bitter and tart finish

Draught @ the brewpub. Dark brown with ruby highlights, small beige head, faint roasted malt aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter roasted malt-mocha taste, thin body, long finish. Well balanced brew.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with small beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is cocoa and cracker malt. Thin body, cocoa, roast, light finish, decent.

Draft. Nitro. Black beer with a tan nitro head. Roast aroma. Light chocolate flavor. Medium-light bodied. Light roast and light chocolate linger.

Pours black with a small head. Aroma of roasty malts, licorice, hints of berries and syrup. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and grainy with hints of licorice and berries. Finish is smooth and slightly roasty, hints of licorice and coffee. Okay, quite smooth stout.

Draught @ the brewpub, San Diego. Aroma is typical to an irish stout with licorice, coffee and some toffee notes. Flavour has ash, coffee and some licorice. Dry finish with cold coffee. A bit fizzy palate. Typical and decent.

Nitro. Mostly black with a creamy tan head. Slightly smoky, roasted malt, Chocolate bar. Finishes with light bitterness. Very well done stout and goes down great on nitro.
