Sampled on draft this beer poured a yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head. The aroma was dry, boozy and had a fruity hop note. The flavor was dry, boozy and musty with a fruity hop note. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Can in a trade with tfontana, thanks Tom. Nose shows mild grape musk and subtle citrus. Mouthfeel is kind of thick / chewy. Palate is somewhat balanced, white grape, citrus, and light astringent aftertaste.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from the brewery. Appearance is cloudy, murky orange-yellow with fine and large, light and dark floaties, trace sparkle at the edges of the glass, thin cap of off-white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is mix of sweet and tart fruit--might be orange, might be grape. Taste is sweet grape along with orange citrus and other, nondescript fruit--perhaps melon and pear amongst others. Palate is medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, thick and meaty mouthfeel, befitting the style. Taste trumps aroma but both could have a clearer identity. OK.
Nice hoppy melon, but bit old feeling.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, 1/2-1B-AI can code. Pours very hazy deep golden amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, sauvignon blanc grape juice, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and slight grape tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, sauvignon blanc grape juice, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Light lingering resins/rinds, and slight grape tang/tannins. Mild increasing warmth of 7.7% after the finish. Overall this is an awesome fruited NEIPA. All around awesome citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, sauvignon blanc grape juice, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; great soft feel, and not aggressive. Awesome Nelson Sauvin/Motueka profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops/fruit; with a great balancing wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected.
