Bottle, as Mikkeller Chipotle Porter, big bubbly mocha head, extremely deep brown color, aroma of brown bread and dark malts with a metallic hint, flavor of dark chocolate, bread and malts with an ashy hint and a light hot peppery kick at the end. Nice but much too sweet.

Tap (HENRY & SALLY’S - Mikkeller, Oslo). Roasty, coffee, a little bit spicy but smooth in overall. Nice porter, gentle at the begining and agressive at the finish.

Bottle. Malty aroma, dark chocolate, coffee, roasty notes. Tastes the same as aroma, light sweet, medium bitter. Full body, malty bitter sweet finish with light chilly notes. Good.

15 December 2018. Black Beer Fest, Ieper. Cheers to Anke, Erwin & Ama Deke! As Mikkeller Chipotle Porter. What's with the alias? Cloudy black with a lasting, small, foamy, dark beige head; little lacing. Aroma of jalapeño, red bell pepper, fondant, coffee roast, grapefruit, lemon peel. Taste is light malty sweet, some toast & nuts, quickly pushed aside by a medium spicy bitterness, jalapeño & (bell) pepper already popping up; leaving room though for hoppy notes of grapefruit, lemon & orange, faintly chocolatey too. Persistent spiciness in the dry, peppery hoppy finish, black pepper-like effect, subtle toast, chili burn in the mouth & throat. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Chili works well here, I'm all for spiced food and I can manage it but I can't enjoy this for more than just a few sips.

Bottle from Tienda de la Cerveza. Pours dark brown. Nose is mostly chilli, after a few sniffs your nose adjusts and you also get toast and chocolate. Taste is quite similar, the spiciness is the first thing you taste, toast and chocolate with coffee and some dried cherry coming in when trying to focus on the non spicy stuff. Quite good, but I wouldn't be able to drink a lot of it due to my aversion of spiciness.

From tap as Mikkeller Chipotle Porter at Mikeller CPH Airport with KL and MOA 25.09.18 with Sarah Vaughan singing as background music. Dark brown. Fine brown head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of fresh coffee, chili, dark chocolate and oak. Chili is lingering on.

Draft at the Oslo Bar in Galway. Almost black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma is chipotle and coffee, but not overly strong. Taste is bitter with a spicy edge, full of coffee. The peppery spice prevails at the end. Medium body, sticky. Good in small doses.

Smell of chocolate, coffee. Very dark brown colour, high dark brown head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, some chili hotness in finish. Also roasted malt. Mildly bitter, mildly sweet, finishes hot. Soft carbon. Ashy dry palate. Very nice, chili is strongly present but not dominating.
