Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in color with a one and a half fingers of off-white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: black coffee, roasted malts, woody spices and some citrusy/piney hops
Flavor: intertwines the prior noted aromas to a fine roasty to hoppy sweet and underscored by some spicy to bitter tones of the hops and woody character; finishes roasty, semi-spicy with appropriate bitterness
Texture: medium bodied, this is a sipper; light smoothness but also some bitterness harshness which doesn't lay back in this one (as I hoped and expected it would)
Overall: nicely done black IPA I would return to as it seems to fit and on it's way to being the palate wrecker this style tends to be.

440mml. can. Tasted on the 02/02/2019 at home. Strong dark brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma is mocha coffee, roasted malts, liquorice and some raisins. Taste is the same with a soft presence of cocoa leading to a slightly bitter and watery finish. Next one please!

Can, from Nikki's @ Providence, RI. Pours clear dark brown with reddish tint against the light, foamy tan head, faint caramel aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter light mocha taste with piney flavor and alcohol undertones, somewhat thick body, long bitter mocha finish with boozy aftertaste. Quite potent, like a hoppy imperial stout.
