This brown ale has a marked ruby brown colour with a gen-erous and lasting head. It has a distinctive aroma reflecting the wide range of ingredients used in its production. The fruitiness resulting from its fermentation blends harmoni-ously with a dominant liquorice and caramel flavour. The body is decidedly malty. The bitterness is the result of a complex alchemy between the fine hops and special malts used. These give St-Feuillien Brune a typical dark chocolate appearance. This beer creates an endless variety of sensations with a lingering taste and powerful aroma.

From tap at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Light hazy dark brown with beige head. Malty aroma, caramel, lots of honey, light fruity, light spicy. Sweet and light bitter taste. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.

330ml bottle from RusBeerShop. Pours hazy brown with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma is yeast, caramel, dark fruits. Taste is light sour (a bad bottle, perhaps?), brown sugar, plums, light bitterness. I don’t know... it just didn’t taste that good.

Bottle. Deep amber to brown cloudy colour. Off-white dense head. Aroma: smooth spicy & fruity yeast. Banana & caramel. Dried fruit. Vinous. Medium body. Light plus sweet taste. Caramel, toffee, toast, dried pears, spices, low bitterness. Very good.

Pours brown from the bottle. Finger thick tan head that slowly subsides. Aroma is a mix of plum, raisin, caramel. Hints of chocolate. Taste is sweet at the outset with strong cherry and plum notes that grow stronger leading into the finish. Body is thick and rich with a stable carbonation. Nice. Rerate: 04/2019: full of rich toffee and plum. A touch of molasses at the end. Oh, what a nice one. Upping 3.8 to 4.0

Fles gedeeld met LiekevdV in Luxemburg. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een rode gloed. Het heeft een volle schuimkraag. De geur is moutig en wat zoets, heeft iets weg van bessen. De smaak is gebrand, drop en zoethout.

From old tasting notes. Beautiful garnet colored liquid topped by a big rocky tan head. Soft, fruity, yeasty malt nose reminiscent of lemon peel and raisins. Wonderful warming brew has a crisp fruity malt flavor and a tasty complex hop finish. Delicious.

Bottle from Royal Standard, Cambridge. Reddish brown, a bit gushy with a heavy off-white head. Translucent. Hazelnut syrup, chocolate, light raspberry in the aroma. Sweet sugary taste with light hop bitterness in the background. Very heavy on the carbonation. Superb Dubbel.
