Hop-forward golden ale inspired by the Trappist Brasserie d’Orval. Styrian Goldings and Mandarina Bavaria Hops work with Brettanomyces to create an effervescent, dry and funky Belgian offering.

Draught @ Malt & Mold. Hazy rich yellow with small foamy whitish head, faint earthy aroma, high carbonation, mildly bitter earthy taste with a bit of salt, dried fruit and stinky cheese, thin body, long earthy finish. A bit watery but fine.

Beer Table To Go, NYC mini growler: pours dull gold with white head... growler jar kind of blew up for me and the whole office smelled of Belgian ale... no important documents got hurt in the process. Aroma is musty, yeasty, flowery, lightly bretty. Taste is lightly bitter, plenty of yer yeasty friends. Very Belgian ale. I need to drink more Orval to do a better compare. Merp.

On tap at Three Penny Taproom, Montpelier VT.
This was poured into a flared tulip.
The appearance was a muddy burnt orange almost brown color with a good finger’s worth of white foamy head. Dissipates mildly and leaves some stringy lace here and there.
The aroma yields to a crisp Belgian sweet to spicy coriander to Apple spice to bready malts. Some sticky pear. Sweet to semi-bitter grassy-like hops.
The flavor marries it all together, bringing about the spices and the bready/yeasty Belgian malts to gloss over and slide on into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a great sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation felt good all around.
Overall, pretty nice Belgian ale that I would have again.

Orange to yellow appearance with a. 2 finger head. Lots of sweetness. White grape, Honey, melon. Has some aspect of a Wort aroma. Dry mouthfeel. Lots of carbonation, taste is vey similar to the aroma maybe with more table sugar and less grape. Has a saison quality to it in peppercorn and herbs
