Brasserie Noir is a barrel-aged imperial stout aged in wet cabernet barrels for up to 12 months. Dried fruit aromas and vanilla and currant tones frame the flavors of Brasserie Noir. This Imperial Stout balances malty sweetness with sharp acidity imparted by a twelve month aging process in Cabernet barrels.

4oz pour at Meridian Pint, pours an oily black with some cloudy, beige head. The pour was very cold and took a while to open up. When it did, the nose had heavy molasses and licorice, some jammy notes, dried berries, sweet chocolate. Flavor was very jammy, sweet with molasses and dried blueberries, boozy here, chocolate, malt, licorice. Full bodied, boozy finish.
