The tripel and first beer from this Brugues-based beer company, with thick, off-white, sticky head and lightly hazy, golden blonde robe. Aroma of unripe peach, bread, grains, coriander and cauliflower. Subdued fruitiness, rounded mouthfeel, pale malts, grainy with some DMS, coriander touch, yeasty, mild hoppiness in the finish. Cliché and not entirely flawless, redundant as there are already many tripels on the Belgian market - and many better ones than this.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is yeast, zesty citrus. The flavour is medium bitter light sweet with a smooth yeast, sweet malt palate. Light bodied with lively carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel. One of the old school beers but not bad to sample.

Bottle @ ’t Poatersgat. Pours hazy light straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of fruit, flowers and yeast, with touches of malt. Sweetish, malty flavour, with pronounced acidic touches of fruit and flowers. Estery and hoppy notes towards the finish, which is rather rough and long-lasting. Okay.

On tap at 't Bruges Brutjes, pours a cloudy pale blonde with a large white head. Aroma is very floral and wheaty, very fresh smelling - nice and dry like a tripel should be. Flavour is very restrained, with lots of wheat, floral notes, and very light Belgian yeast. The ABV is certainly well-concealed. Almost tastes more like a wit than a tripel. Finishes dry and wheaty. All in all, a refreshing beer for a hot day that's well-balanced, but fairly boring.

Bottled@HBF2014. Hazy grapefruit juicy colour with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty, spicy, some earthy and alcoholic notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, spicy, earthy and some sweet malts along with mild alcohol as well. With the addition "so much corn" written with FatPhil’s handwriting. I didn’t actually find any corn in this though.

33cl bottle. Golden color, thin head. Very fruity, spicy aroma. Flavor has white bread, spices, perfumy, yeasty. Not really a triple acc. to me. More like a spice coctail.

Cloudy pale yellow orange colour, unstable off-white frothy head, bit lacing. Sweet yeasty nose, caramel, cereal, grass, citrus, herbs, banana, apricot. Mild medium sweet, just a bit bitterness and some fruity sour notes, peach, aprico. Medium body, creamy/buttery texture; sweet fruity finish, with a a bit more bitterness and sourness in the aftertaste. A somewhat messy tripel
