Pours reddish amber with a thick white head. Aroma of rich sweet malt. Taste has watery hop notes as well as a weak cedar hint. Palate is malty with a sweet residue on the nose

Bottle. Pours clear copper red with small foamy beige head, caramel malt aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter caramel malt taste, thin body, medium caramel finish. Easy to drink,.nothing exciting.

Found the notes on this one too.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent hazy red color with a half finger’s worth of white foaminess of head. The head died within about a minute and left some stringy lacing sticking finely to the glass.
The smell had a fair amount of roasted caramel malts and lets in some toffee as it warms.
The taste was mainly roasty and sweet and combines through the malts.
On the palate, it sat about a light to medium and showed a decent sessionability.
Overall, I say this was a fairly good Irish Red ale worthy of having again.

Bottle from a mix pack. Pours brownish amber with a dusting of a head. Smells of sweet malts, wet wood, and earth. Tastes of tea, copper, dried leaves. Finishes earthy.

12oz bottle–pours amber/copper with an offwhite head. Aroma is light/medium malt-slight sweetness. Taste is light/medium malt-slight sweetness, spice/earthy hops. Plenty of carbonation.

Bottle. Red-brown color. Aroma is a bit grassy, notes of caramel/toffee. Flavor is mild, non-offensive, bready, yeast, caramel notes, butterscotch. It’s very drinkable, but largely forgettable. No offensive aftertaste makes this a beer I’d consider possibly purchasing for a party.

A dark amber ale with a thin light moka head. In aroma, a rather strange beanie butterscotch with light roasted notes. In mouth, a rather harsh mashed grains, boiled veggies, a bit off and unpleasant. On tap at ROC Empire Brewfest, Feb. 19 2011.
