Super hazy, almost chunky golden and light copper coloured body with a glow of raw honey near the edges and a thinnish, relatively fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of resin, light earth, some metal notes, a hint of citrus and a dose of pine near the end - just hops, but not seemingly too much or at least any that are high in alpha acids. Medium-bodied; Nice floral and slightly grassy flavour with a solid malt backbone, some light sugars and a dose of hops, but not in a hoppy nor biter way at all. Aftertaste shows a relatively good balance of malt and hops with the focus on the actual flavours of the hops, like resin, pine and a healthy dose of citrus - nice and not bitter at all. Overall, a decent IPA with some good flavours that shows no bitterness, but a pleasant balance and smooth sweetness on the end in lieu of the hops! I sampled this stubby, twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant Food in Arlington (Columbia Pike/Courthouse Road) on 22-November-2017 for US$1,99 sampled at home on 18-December-2017.

Draught @ Albion. Hazy pale yellow with foamy whitish head, sharp citrus aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter citrus peel taste, thin body, long citrus peel finish. Smooth and well balanced

Pour is a hazy lemonade lookalike with a large white head. Aroma Is kind a of a spicy hop with some lemon and orange peel. Flavor is a mild fruit hop, maybe some tart berry, and some thick dry neutral malt. While good this was not a total juice bomb like some of the other new style IPA's out there.

12oz bottle. Poured an extremely cloudy yellow-orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was super tropical, with a blast of citrus. This one had just a little bit of bitterness that came through. Really impressed with this one from Sierra Nevada. I'd love to see this hit shelves on its own.

12oz bottle. Cloudy, hazy aroma...maybe not quite as opaque as some of the benchmarks, but still captures the look well enough. Mellow on the palate, pleasant citrus notes...orange, grapefruit. A little more West Coast than most examples, but still approximates the style. Very enjoyable beer, I'd love to see them drop sixpacks of it.

Bottle in the mixed twelve pack. Pours a mostly hazy orange color with a large white head. A big malty nose, pils malt perhaps, toast, some lemons. Sweet, juicy, a bit of lemon zest, some fresh oranges. Very smooth. Solid E Coast rendition. A bit light but intentionally so. Easy drinking.

Tap at the Torpedo Room. Pours somewhat hazy gold with a white head. Mildly spicy aroma. Med body or nearly. Flavor is lightly spicy - to include a touch of ginger (like ginger) and in a strange way it’s sort of bready - but not like kolsch or pale lagers. Or even bread. Flavors aren’t strong, but they are pleasing. Very nice. A mild Xmas thing perhaps. Fairly far from dry and not too bitter, but the “weak” spices tend to make up for that. Even getting a spice hit on my tongue. Clearly an ale that takes some time to appreciate. Nice.

Rerate. 1st from 2017 bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Cigarette City; 2nd 2019 bottle from Hannaford. Appearance is hazy pale yellow-orange, thick gobs of particulates (2017 version but not 2019), light sparkle, 1/2-finger width white foamy head with poor retention and fair soapy lacing. Aroma is light fruit/citrus dominated by famous Sierra Nevada malt base. Taste is mild fruit/citrus morphing into grapefruit and resinous bitter, finishing with a hint of orange; cracker malt backdrop. Palate is medium bodied with thick, foamy texture, lively carbonation (a little sting) and mix of bitter and sweet finish. Overall, a strong taste and palate make the beer as the aroma is pretty average and the appearance subpar.
