Wasn't expecting Sierra Nevada to be so successful with an NEIPA (and damn sure wasn't expecting to like this more than the Bearded Iris IPA I drank earlier), but SN's done a pretty solid job with Holiday Haze. Gets all the benchmarks of the style right: opaque as shit, fruit-forward and mildly sweet, and not overly concerned with a heavy malt profile. Yet HH also has a modest but tangible bitterness on the fade, a piney finish that appreciably reminds you you're drinking a Sierra Nevada beer. Add in the restrained but apparent biscuit notes and the lovely lemon, grapefruit, black pepper and berry from the hops and you have a highly drinkable pint. Pours a bright uber-hazy yellow-white with a thick head and endless lacing. Nose is pine, grapefruit, and grain. Good creamy texture with the slightest hint of astringency. Tasty.
Good solid ipa.

Bottle: Cloudy, light yellow with a smooth white head. Nice citrus aroma, lemon, pineapple, grapefruit. Mild citrus flavours....the same tropicals as in the nose. Light, juicy.....bitter-sweet citrus-peel hopping. Very clean and pleasant.

12 oz bottle from the winter variety pack. Aroma is citrusy, tropical fruit, pine needles, resin, hint of latex. Pours hazy golden with a two finger off-white head with good retention and some lace. Taste is lightly to mid-level bitter with citrus and tropical hop flavor. Perfect mouthfeel and carbonation. Really tasty. One of the best IPAs I've had from these guys.
