Dark red-brown colour (EBC 75). A firm creamy and cream-coloured head. The smell of roasted malt, caramel and the sweet fruitiness of the alcohol give this beer the perfect aroma. Flavour: Caramel, sweet fruitiness and a pleasant bitterness are the predominant flavours. The aftertaste reveals a pinch of coffee and date.

Bottle from Bootlegger. Pours a dark cola color with a frothy beige/tan head. Aromas of darker caramel and dark fruits. Near full bodied with frothy carbonation. Flavor has dark caramel, chocolate, nuts, dark fruits. Finishes towards dry. Pretty drinkable. Makes me think of a quad. Or at least makes me want a quad.

Bottled(330ml). -Nice reddish/dark ruby coloured, small off-white head, dried fruits nose. Sweet malty, dark fruits, notes of figs and caramel. Alcohol is too dominant, some mild spicy hints and quite sour finish. Messy brew.

Very slight gushing to medium, light-greige head over beautiful carmosine-sepia beer; end of bottle cloudy. Very sweet, nutty, caramelly, dark malts nose, sweet dark bread, laurel. Banana, bubble gum, sweet bread, dark candi sugar. Slightly bitterish roasted malts in the finish, which appears rather thin. Warming up, coriander. Medium bodied at best, rather sweet-sticky MF; well-carbonated. Very ordinary, sweet & dark beer. As to the Vieille Villers link, read the ditto Trippel. Thanks to Ignace for the bottle watch!

Very dark red (reportedly mahagoni red), but lost creamy head very quick, intensive roasted aroma with light bitter chocolate, a beer to gnow at and munch (has herself drunk = itatja magát) medium body, alcohol taste just in the end, finish is very long and very roasty,

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Very very deep brown/ruby colour with thick dark beige head. Some roasted malt. Some dry malt, some dark fruits. More dry malt in mouth. Quite juicy though. Touch of hop on end. Rather a lovely malty double beer. Nice. Satisfying.
