From tap at Flagship, New York. Aroma is bready grainy malts with straw, some dough and bready wheat. Light sweet, light to moderate bitter. Some nice bready grain here, a fine Kölsch-style specimen.

Ever so slightly hazy golden and light orange tinted body with a thin pure white pale single centimettre tall head on top. Aroma of grass, grain, biscuits, light lemons and very herbal hops with an unfinished, wort-quality that shows the yeast and malt throughout. Light to perhaps even Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and very herbal flavours up front with a dash of dry flowers, light alcohol, a ton of unfinished yeast notes that has a significant bitterness, a light biscuity flavour and a dash of honey as well with a light sweetness towards the conclusion. Aftertaste shows grassy and grainy flavour with a light biscuity malt finish and a subdued and slightly mellow sweet finish with honey and apples/pears on the fringes. Overall, a strong and fairly grassy beer with some nice flavours, but a more unfinished-than-expected quality make this more worty, grainy and yeastie than was to be desired for the style. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the [late] New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 24-February-2018 on one of my last trips to the store for US$2,00 sampled at home in Washington on 24-March-2019, just over a year later.

Possibly a bit high on diacetyl, judging from the flavor.Earlier Rating: 11/8/2016 Total Score: 3.2Growler @ Malt & Mold. Slightly cloudy golden yellow with small frothy off white head, malt aroma, medium carbonation, sweetish malt taste, thin body, medium finish. Very fresh and quite tasty.

Mayhem and Stout, Helmsley Building tap: pours golden with little head. Aroma is lightly fruity, sugary. Taste is kind of too sweet. Sugary aftertaste. Low hoppiness. Not great.
