12 ounce bottle. Amber orange color. Frothy beige head. Aromatic tropical fruit nose. Toasted malt flavor with a hint of caramel upfront. Citrus hops with peppery notes. Evenly balanced with a touch of resiny pine in finish. A smooth, drinkable IPA.

Cask @ Albion. Hazy dark orange with large creamy beige head, peach-citrus aroma, medium carbonation, bitter orange peel taste with peach flavor, smooth body, long bitter finish. A bit on the bitter side.

Bottle. So many IPA, so little time as a master. Every time you turn around there are a half dozen new IPA. Fresh hop aroma. Clear pale. What else can be said? I’m not qualified enough to rate an IPA except that it does not possess any of that terrible astringent bitterness so common with newer breweries. Yes, if you like IPA, invert my numbers, its terribly on style but IMHO its also very difficult to enjoy simply because its a terribly on style IPA.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, guava, grapefruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, light honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, guava, grapefruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, light honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, guava, grapefruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and fairly grainy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.3%. Overall this is an excellent IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Very bright and dank on hops, with just enough malt for bitterness balance. I loved this hop profile. A really delicious offering.
