Rich red and deep coppered coloured body with a thick tan head, about two or three centimetres tall. Aroma of copper, grain, alcohol, light caramel and a touch of grass. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich grainy flavour that dominates with a lot of caramel, grass, resin, grapefruit and a touch of herbs on the finish, with a lot of bitterness - mainly from the hops, but some of the alcohol lends to the astringency which is quite potent. Aftertaste shows the caramel and toffee sweetness more than anything else with a lot of astringent and deeply bittered notes along with a touch of grass, some resin and funk, and even - through all of that - a touch of very odd chocolate and deep sugars hiding out at the end. Overall, a quite strong, astringent and very flavourful IPA that shows the malt and bittered/astringent side of things more than the softer and lighter, more subdued notes. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased a few minutes ago from Carmine Street Beers in New York, New York on 13-August-2018 for US$6,89 sampled while eating Joe's Pizza in my hotel room with my three kids on 13-August-2018.

Can. Pours hazy copper-red with foamy light beige head that leaves considerable lacing, complex aroma consisting of caramel malt, stinky cheese and other basement aromas, medium carbonation, bitter taste with stinky cheese and caramel malt fighting for dominance, thin body, long earthy finish. I hope this stinky cheese aroma was what they were aiming for, on the other hand it's not bad, just different.
