A lightly hazed golden wit with a thin white head. In aroma, a sweet fruity malt with light Brett notes, interesting. In mouth, a nice sweet malt with light fruity notes, light acidity, rather watery. On tap at Rattle and Hum, Dec. 27 2011.

Pizzeria Paradiso- Dupont, DC 12oz ($5hh): Pours a clear yellow color with a little head. At PP this was advertised as a saison and not a witbier and indeed, I didn’t notice even the slightest hint of wit in this. In fact, it was mostly just a really earthy light ale with a little bit of funk. Citrus and other fruitiness was present, but in a very minimal form. I personally like it plenty.

33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, BBE 03/2014, bottled 03/2011
Spicy, elderflower-like aroma. Palate is a bit dry. Flavour has the elderflower and spices. Not my cup of tea.

Bottled. Yellowish colour, small white head. Aroma is wheat, mild acidic notes, some slight spices, citrus fruits and also mild yeast. Flavour is wheat, mild acidic wood and some citrus notes. Standard witbier with rather yeasty and acidic finish.

330ml bottle shared @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere

Pours light yellow with a small white head. Aroma has notes of wheaty malts, banana and fruits. Taste is witbier-like with notes of wheat, banana and fruits. Quite carbonated and stingy finish. A bit unbalanced.

Pretty cloudy yellow beer, solid creamy white head, pretty stable. Aroma: very metallic, some malts, bit of basement. Taste: pretty sour, as in beer gone bad. Little bitter. This beer HAS gone bad. Again. This is the last time I'm ever having a Gaverhopke beer. All of their beers I had were infected and that's pretty lame.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden coloured and turbid hue with a blond and tall foamy head. Sweet and moderately fruity pale malty aroma with notes of lemon and mouldy spices. Moderately sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. A bit slim (wheat-)malty base with citric and spicy notes; dry-ish and slightly sour-fruity finish with mildly spicy notes. 07.IV.11
