Our American IPA is a cross between the West Coast and New England styles. It’s brewed with a pale malt profile to allow the hops to shine through, then dry hopped with over two pounds per barrel worth of Mosaic. This is a great amped up IPA for hop lovers.

Very hazy and chunky, almost 'thick' copper coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall rich tan head that sort of stays afloat for a while. Aroma of metal, malt, grass, pine, flowers and a good hit of both alcohol and some astringent hop bitterness. Medium-bodied; Strong rich malt and super dry flavours with some earthy malts, a lot of hay and floral notes with alcohol, pine, resin and a lot of alcohol, yet a fairly balanced bite of malt and hops. Aftertaste is deeply rich, with the astringent malt and piney resinous hops hitting strong, but leaving things very dry with no sweetness at all - this is very potent and focused just on the pungent and astringent side of things, with more of the hops (just not citrusey, sweet or soft/nuanced); these are the resinous, piney and pungent notes. Overall, a definite East Coast IPA, almost British-ish, with the astringent, dry and biting flavours by far the strongest and deepest. Good to sample, and even though I'm on the East Coast, this one isn't my favourite. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 06-January-2020 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 08-April-2020.

Draft. Lots of sticky head and lacing. Lightly hazy by modern standards and very by old standards. Aroma is moderate hops with mostly weed/dirty hippy. Also hops of light lemon peel, sweat. Basically a mild pothead. Flavor is low on. Utter mess but present. With more lemon peel citrus and less hippy. Moderate carb curing through it. Soft malt white bread and hop bitterness sticks around. It's fine if you like smelly hippy.

Fresh hop burn is strong here like the force. Green onion and orange. Lots of really freshly poured orange. Pours amber with decent head. Bitter finish. Tap at Savor.

Draft pour at Savor: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience 2017. Poured a cloudy orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was nice resin notes, citrus hop notes. Flavor was pretty well balanced between hop and malts, some herbal notes.

12 oz bottle from Buy Rite JC. IPA tick #800!
Pours a rather murky / cloudy dark orange type color with a thick, foamy, beige colored head. Overly ripe / rotting citrus, some sweet pale malt, and candied orange. Surprising solid mouthfeel, so it has that going for it. Smooth and not particularly sticky. Lightly dry close. Kind of a miss, and not really my thing, but I've had worse. I definitely should have made my 800th IPA tick something better though.
