Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: dark ruby red with a finger and a half's worth or eggshell white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light speckled lace
Aroma: dark fruits, caramel/toffee notes, light butterscotch, sly woody/earthy character; and a tone of vanilla further down in there
Flavor: blends all the prior noted aromas together semi-sweet with a woody spicy note; mild aftertaste of the caramel/toffee note and vanilla
Texture: medium bodied, great as a sipper; pretty smooth along my tongue; finishes with the dark fruits, vanilla and caramel/toffee character
Overall: nicely done Barley wine that I believe leans towards the English style. I would very much love to have again.

A hazed dark amber Barley Wine with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light vinous notes, treacle, light butterscotch, alcohol warmth, pleasant. In mouth, sweet fruity caramel malt with light bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, alcohol warmth, light licorice, very nice. On tap at Lupulo. 8-3-8-3-14

Draught @ Ginger Man. Hazy dark red with large spongy beige head, very faint woodsy aroma, medium carbonation, strong bourbon taste with oak notes, thin body, medium bitter finish with bourbon aftertaste. Quite potent but very drinkable.
