Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling”) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangos, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

Bottle at Rootz at the Harbour, Scheveningen. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head, The aroma is woody resin hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp resin nettle hop bitter light caramel palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. This beer made me sneeze so the hops are there but they are the wrong hops for me I’m afraid. It wasn’t so bad but a bit predictable from the first sniff.

Bottle at home, Dark orange beer with a medium head, aroma is citrus, fruit. Taste is citrus, a bit malts, quite bitter. Very nice.

Draught. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Oily palate.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours golden, light pine nose, taste is juicy pine, dry toffee, bitter and sweet.

Single bottle from Lemon Tree. Big spongy head at pour. Smell is big on hops, but more balanced than the Sam’s Rebel IPA I had before. This one is a bit more citrus and apricot, with pine needles along the way. Taste bring in the same hop impressions as I had on the nose. Almost tongue-curlingly bitter, with toasty malt fighting to provide balance. Too much hop to let any alcohol notes get in.Despite all that, it drinks pretty easily, leaving a bigger wallop of hops as an after-taste.

Bottle. Clear amber with a large head. Aroma of grapefruit, apricot, some malt and hay. Similar taste. On the sweet side with a fairly bitter finish. A decent one.

Tap@Taphouse, CPH (30/04/14) - nice gold to amber coloured pour with a medium off white head. Punchy hoppy citrus aroma and taste, strong pine, orange peel, sweet caramel malty, lovely bitter finish. Nice drop this.
