On tap at McGillicuddy’s Five Corners Essex Juncction.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-burnt orange/almost copper color with a touch of transparency covering a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a moderate pace.
The aroma triggered some sweet grassy to citrusy bittersweet hops evenly flowing over a nice malt backbone.
The flavor pretty much copied the aroma spot on with a nice even flow from malts to hops right on into the aftertaste and riding into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt fine. Acceptable abrasiveness from the hops but doesn’t distract from lager smoothness.
Overall, nicely done India Pale Lager worthy of having again.

Good lager. Pine and nice crisp bitter finish. Golden pour with decent head. Good balance. Easy drinking with a kick like Van Halen. Tap at Smoke and Barrel.

Draught. Hazy pale yellow with large foamy whitish head, citrus aroma, lowcarbonation, lightly bitter citrus peel taste, thin body, medium bitter finish. Like a mellow APA.

Growler from Milk and Hops Chelsea. Unclear golden-orange color with a frothy beige head and some fairly strong lacework. Aroma is a little fruity, dough, and some yeast / spice. The taste is along the same lines, with kind of a wet doughy thing going on along with some yeasty spice. Hops come out mostly as peach and grapefruit. Fairly low bitterness early, that builds through the mouthfeel, as the rest of the flavors fade and the feel starts to thin into the close. Feels like a more substantially bodied beer early, as it gets thinner on the finish, the bitterness and the booze sneak out, and the finish is pretty much just those two (both fairly light) on a light bodied, drier close. Decent stuff, but it's just a little odd overall for me.

Tap at Draught 55. Golden pour puffy white head. Nose is sweet hops. Tastes of yeast, some fruity gum, tropical hops, slight herbal. Crisp palate. Slight boozy edge to it. Nice
