Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is nice and somewhat fruity with some light tropical fruit, pineapple, and stone fruit notes with a bit more citrus and hints of pear. Light oak and grain notes with a bit of a peppery, spicy note. Pours a hazy, golden color with a medium sized, fairly thick, white head that shows nice retention as it very slowly recedes to the edges where it lingers. Medium light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with a fairly dry finish. Low to medium low acidity with hints of lemon lime citrus notes. Some light tropical fruit and stone fruit with a touch of pear as well. Light apple notes with a bit of a golden raisin character. Light grain notes. Medium to medium light oak notes. Medium light spicy notes with some light pepper flavors. Low to medium low bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice saison. Good fruit notes from the bugs and some good oak character to compliment. The peppers add a nice twist on the phenolic notes in the saison and the acidity is present, but well balanced and light.

(On tap @ BRUS, Copenhagen, May 10/17) Pours a hazy orange gold with a decent white head that leaves lace. Nose has a bit of sweet malt, herbal, a bit peppery, woody, a bit floral, yeasty touches. Flavour is similarly built, some sweetish pale malt, with lots of spicy and herbal peppery notes, not actually hot, supporting fruity and citrusy notes with a bit of acidity but only lightly tart. A bit of wood in the back, and more lightly spicy pepper notes. Medium full body with soft carb. Definitely not too heavy on the pepper addition, fortunately, and the underlying saison is solid.
