Our bokbier for Easter; soft and slightly spicy taste, thereby producing a fine flavour. The flavour and aromas give a nicely balanced mix of fruit, coriander, yeast and hops. An enjoyable combination in which the bitter element gets an additional boost from the lightly roasted malt. The aftertaste is slightly sparkling, with a long-lasting, fresh, sweet flavour. An excellent beer for celebrating the arrival of spring!

A slightly brown, yellow beer, a head is big and white. The nose is fruitfull and fresh, citrusfruits, fruitesters, apples, spices and some sourness. Taste is strongly fruitfull, lemon, lots of spices and also quite strong bitterness. Also the white part under the orange skin are found in the end. Medium bodied, high and sparkling carbonation that it OK even for me, that is enhancing the refreshness. Good beer, lots of spices, citrusfruits and even bitterness.

hazy dark orange colour, huge, though not too dense off-white head, which collapses within a few minutes; aroma of yeast, citruses, hints of caramel, earthy notes and hay; taste of yeast, minimal citrus, bread and caramel, sulphuric notes and spicy aftertaste; dry mouthfeel - really good belgian ale, I like it!

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes dunkelgoldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, sehr würzig, leicht fruchtig, blumig. Geschmack würzig malzig, hefig, Gewürze, Gemüse, leicht fruchtig.

On tap @ De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht. Hazy golden with a white head. Fruity aroma with a spicy edge. Nice spring beer.

Aroma has lots of soapy citrus. Also some distant belgian yeast notes. Flavour has also soapy citrus, some earthy notes. A basic soapy belgian ale with ’t IJ house flavour added. Dry and leathery finish. Refreshing.

(Draught at ’t IJ, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2014) Hazy golden amber colour with dense, off-white head. Malty, fruity, spicy nose with notes of dried fruit, citrus, orange peel and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, orange peel, apricots, a touch of clove, toast and a certain spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Spicy and tasty. Quite nice.

At the brewery: Pours a murky golden/brown with an off-white head. Aroma is hoppy in the sense that hops are plant matter and this smells like plant matter. Also, there is some booze in there as it warms up, which was strange considering the relatively low alcohol. Taste is floral hops. There are somewhat darkish malts. Moderate aftertaste. Medium body.

Slightly hazy amber with medium white head. Yeasty, light roasted malts, coriander, hint of cloves. Strong vegetal notes of green beans and unripe fruit. Bittersweet with medium body and slightly watery feel. Nice stuff.

donker amber met witte kraag aroma: pilsmoutig, zoet smaken: zwak zoet, redelijk bitter, matig van sterkte, matig gemout, matig kruidig, medium body, dun iets prikkelende co2, afdronk wat hoppig en kruidig. bittertje is aanwezig.
