Draft at Long Trial. Clear yellow color with weak head. Aroma is weak fruit and mild pine/ resin. The flavor shows the tropical fruity hints up front with a lower malt bill. The body is on the lighter side with the bitterness becoming a tad harsh. The hops come off as low flavor with huge bittering.

dark golden orange, 1 finger hello head. simcoe bomb in the aroma. Pretty much a dank overly bitter aroma. little malt back bone at all just a total hop bomb and too intense. lingers forever. More than a sip is too much for me. resinous bomb.

Draught at Charlie’s, 4/22/16.
Small white head staunchly tops a lightly hazy, fiery-golden body.
Lots of leafiness, dank, woody hops and a bold pineapple-mango juiciness are quite unexpectedly pleasant. There’s perhaps a surplus of malt in the form of very strong honey, tending rather caramelly but it’s clean, with no resin or alcohol and only minor grapefruit and pine.
The flavor provides similar tropical notes of mango, sweet orange, and sweet pineapple vastly outdoing the underlying pine/grapefruit. Some acidity creeps in though you can’t exactly fault a 6.5% ipa for being somewhat acidic. A bit more malty than I’d prefer, but the tropical fruit notes outlast everything and linger on pleasantly.

Bottle from a Lazy Dog Slightly hazy golden color with a minimal head. Citrus tropical with hints of resin and pine atop a fairly sweet bready light caramel malt base. Pretty decent IPA, but a bit on the sweet side for my tastes.

Draft: Marigold aroma, moderate strength. Clear amber, medium yellow head, good lacing. Marigold, daffodil, delightful lemon zest and malt finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Extremely well-rounded and balanced, good complexity. This is a great IPA at any price, but it wasn’t very expensive. The craft beer world needs more of this and less insanely priced whales.

A nice amber from a bottle. Good big hop aroma and flavor with a nice malt backbone, very good beer.

Pours gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Grapefruit and mango aromas. Dark caramel and citrus upfront turning to resin before the lasting pith finish.
Green Blaze this morning one this afternoon.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy golden orange color with a nice transparency about it. Carbonation seemed to be barely there but a bubble here and there was seen rising. Rocky white to off white foamy head starts and dissipates pretty quickly. Messy lacing all around.
The smell started off with sweet grassiness, sweet citrus, light bitter pine, slight breadiness. All blends nicely.
The taste was mainly sweet initially, reminiscent of their other \"English\" styled IPA but takes in more bitterness to remind me it’s closer to the American style. Sweet to bitter citrus, piney and bready aftertaste. Spicy finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation hits low and allows that spiciness to come back to balance withthe bitterness on my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good offering from Long Trail. Though slightly reminiscent of their regular IPA, this one is just a tad hoppier.
