Draught at Bukowski’s Cambridge, 7/8/16.
Cherry red with a light maroon/amber suggestion. Quite hazy. Beige head is small and fleeting.
Caramel, light chili suggestions, vanilla, more sugar and light lime juice in the nose all blend fairly well together, but the sugars dominate and the lime juice oddly does not break it up very well. Moderate salinity and a good deal of savory character with no alcohol or flaw.
Sweet, overly so, in the mouth, with light to moderate habanero character and lots of lime juice. More than anything I just get a rather thick vanilla-caramel-honey character that neither the salt, lime nor habanero comes close to balancing. Fairly engaging carbonation. Too much lime, in the end, as well.

Draft at The Jeffrey. Unclear golden orange color with a thin, fizzy head. Tart aroma. Lime and spice on the flavor. Fairly tart. Spice lingers and picks up heat through the long finish. Pretty interesting beer. Not an everyday beer but something I personally really enjoyed.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours orange with a small white head. Aroma is lime and plenty of it with some sour funk. Taste is sour, limey limes, a finish of habanero, with jist hints of salt. Very easy to drink and refreshing while at the same time being weird and complex.
