Whether making a run to the corner store or through the mountains, this gloriously crisp and flavorful IPA is worth grabbing. With bold hops and a lively citrus kick, enjoy Beer Run from start to finish.
We brewed a flavorful IPA because that's what we like to drink after a run and that's what we see all of our running friends reach for. But to make sure this is a beer that runners want to drink after a run, we brewed a test batch of Beer Run IPA and we’re hosting a series of Ninkasi Beer Runs in cities around the country so runners can try it and let us know what they think. After a run, of course.

Bomber. Slightly off amber to yellow pour. Pretty citrus forward but some malts creep up there.

Lemongrass nose. Hazy amber, medium yellow head, great lace. Overripe orange and lemon, pencil shavings and ash, aspirin and sugar also detected. Tea finish. Medium body, easy carbonation, powdery. Flavors don’t seem to blend together very well. A little stale.

Sample at the taproom. Slightly hazy orange-gold color with a medium bone white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Grapefruit, hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, malt and pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bomber from the grocery store. Aroma is grapefruit, cotton candy. Pours hazy golden with a medium bone-white head with decent retention and a little lace. Taste is highly bitter backed by a light candy sweetness with lots of citrusy and a little piney hop flavor. Nice one.

Bottle from Albertsons. Pours out a nice, deep golden color with soft, creamy white head, dome lacing. Malt dominates the aroma, smells like the wort on brew day. Hops kick in at taste, stinging the palate a bit, but still allow the malts to have their say. Bitterness lingers.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper with moderate head. Aromas of sulphury fruit, dry resin, spicy yeast and toasted malts. Indistinct flavors of dried fruit. pine and bitter grapefruit. More like a West Coast version of a Golden Ale. OK
