Bottle. Funny syntax in the name. 9% imperial? Looks like common IPA. Smell is contemporary after sex BO of your favorite mate. Probably not as strong in flavor as a real double IPA but the alky content is. So, I guess, even tho it has the big IPA alky, it could kick you in the ass if you drank a few of these, whew. Yes, this is certainly IPA but I’ve had impy double IPAs that have much more taste bud ruining power than this. But, so what, I’m glad since I don’t care for IPA nor doubly not care for double IPA. heheh ehehhh. If you like BO contemporary aroma and big rototiller IPA, give this a try and ignore my numbers, sary is getting pretty good at the craft thang.

Sample at SBWF 2016. A bit hazy golden with a white head. Fresh and hoppy with tropical fruit, citrus, light caramel and some malt. Balanced and nicely drinkable. A pleasant one.

On tap at Saranac pours out a crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is tropical fruit hops passion fruit and melon sweetness. Taste is more of the tropical fruit hops melon citrus and a nice juicy fruit sweetness.

Bottle. Aroma is decent amount of grass and scallions. Weak pale grain, notes of citrus rind.
Mild honey notes from pale grain. Light citrus shows through the grass and green onion hints. For the ABV it is not overly sweet. I had no expectations for this brew. Mainly because the last few I sampled from this brewer was complete garbage. I never would have known this was Saranac had the bottle not been in front of me. Pretty good! Easily the best I have ever sampled from this brewery.

Draught @ Albion. Faintly cloudy rich orange with medium sized foamy off-white head, piney hops aroma, low carbonation, slightly sweet orange peel taste, thin body, longish bitter finish. Very smooth and flavorful.
