Draught@TCBW2023. Pitch black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is caramel, some roasted malts, nuts and a bit chocolaty tones to it. Flavour is is pretty much the same elements as the aroma, but also has some lactose and mild fudgeish tones to it. Really smooth. And nice body for being a lighter Imp stout.

Can. Outstanding - and this coming from a guy who long ago has been burned out on the imperial stouts. Pours reasonably dark, thick beige head holds on. Nose is rich coffee, bitter chocolate, and roasted malt, and excellent blended together in a nice balance. It all comes together even more so in the flavor, with a light creamy sweetness and full carbonation to hold it up. Its not even too sweet or heavy, its really semi-sweet, balanced with dark chocolate, coffee bitterness, and more roast. Medium to almost heavy bodied. Lingering chocolate flavors lean almost acrid but not quite.

Draft at Only Good Beer, Budapest. Poured almost black in colour with little life. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate and liqourice. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, chocolate, light coffee, light warm alcohol, light liqourice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Well hidden alcohol along with the coffee, which was masked by the sweetness of the beer.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, sirup, and coffee, leading to a bitter finish.

Can from Appalachian. Dated 0213/23. Mojito glass @home during rb chatz. Oily pour. Very dark brown, not quite black, opaque body. Weak head, sticky lace. Oaty, milky, breakfast cereal, cream packets. Good medium roast coffee, mildly fruity, light astringency, almond-y, touch of ash. Beer itself is kinda thin & oily, lactose helps. Charred caramel flavor reminds me of canned Japanese milk coffee & uplifts all the numbers. Liked this.
