Poured into a shaker showing pitch black with latte colored foam. The nose shows freshly ground coffee with hints of dark chocolate. The palate is light bodied and medium carbonated. Very smooth mouthfeel. Obviously sweet due to the extra sugar but not overly so. The finish shows a latte-like bitterness. Accomplishes what it sets out to do.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Julio’s Liquors. Aroma is dark fruit and roasted malts with lactose and pungent alcohol. Appearance is almost opaque very dark brown with small light brown head with poor retention and negligible lacing. Taste is as aroma--sweet dark fruits over roasted malts and mild late alcohol. Palate is medium bodied with creamy texture, average early carbonation with late lively zing to the tip of the tongue, late burnt/ash quality to the finish. Overall, good but alcohol is too present and it is more carbonated than necessary.

Nighthawk, Brooklyn tap: pours black with a bone nitro pour head. Aroma is chocolate, deli coffee, sugar. Body is soft because of the nitro. Taste is somewhat sweet, but not too much so. Pretty easy to drink. Low bitterness. Not bad.

On Tap (and on Nitro) at the River Room, Whole Foods,Boise Lovely light tan Nitro head . Dark roasty aromas and flavors. Easy on the lactose sweetness but it does soften the edge. Very tasty.

Quite enjoyable. Nice dark reddish brown color that s almost opaque. Deep dark chocolate nose, a bit of a chocolate cream and a teeny hint of coffee. Semi-sweet chocolately finish, creamy palate.

12 oz bottle poured. Pours a cola black color with a quick fading head. Malty, sweet chocolate aroma. Flavor is a ton of sweet chocolate flavor, with a nice roasted flavor to it. Definitely a sweet, milk chocolate. I am one of those that believe dark chocolate clearly dominates milk, so this one lacked the bold flavor that I enjoy in a lot of chocolate stouts, but overall this was a good beer.
