*Formerly PMX* - To label a beer as extraordinary is to have complete trust in its ingredients. Crystal filtered artesian water, whole hops, and the choicest malted barley create this American-style pale ale. The character of American pale ales varies from region to region and is dependent upon the ingredients used. In Phin
& Matt’s, one can expect harmony between malt and hops without dominating tastes of sweet
or bitter.

On tap at BrewDog Camden. Golden hazy with lasting cream head. Lost some of the hop on way from States I would suggest. Caramel and tired hops. Bit too soft in mouth. Bit of ugly pukey malt on finish. I guess this was better fresh. Bit ugly here in Uk.

Keg at CBC. It pours golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is hay, straw, white sugar and grass. The taste is hay, grass, sweet malt, white sugar, touch of citrus and dough, with a dry finish. Thin-medium body and fine carbonation. Ok, but a bit boring.

12 oz. bottle. $2.10 from Julio’s Liquors. D.O.B on bottle, 10/27/11. Pale in color, meniscal white head and lace. Extremely low carbonation. Faint citrus hop nose. Pale Malt flavor dominates with a crisp hop finish. Light, watery body. Could be enjoyable on a warm summer day. The name leaves a lot to be desired in this one. Much improved on draught I’m sure.

Tap @ Schoukjelleren, Oslo. Pours a light cloudy pale yellow body with a nice dense and creamy sidesticking kust off-white head. The aroma is both fruity, light sour and sweet. Most fruity I guess, with notes of pears, peach and flowers. Lively to average carbonation and it has a fantastic mouthfeel that I have difficulties explaining - kinda cream-fuzzing-oily. Really nice. Flavors have a nice and malty touch with notes of fruits and citrus. Absolutely a nice beer, but perhaps a bit anonymous and average in the long run. Good though!

Bottle from Bierkraft, Brooklyn, NY. A golden coloured pour with a small white head on top. Sweet, fruity aroma. Tastes sweet, fruity, spice, really thin. Tastes like a watered down Belgian ale to me. Nowt extraordinary about this one.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a clear light gold with a half finger of bright white head. Strong aroma of citrus and pine hops. Taste is light bitter. Citrus hops. Light bodied with a thin and oily texture. Soft carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, not my favorite. Maybe I was expecting more but there is just not much going on here. Would be a great lawnmower beer though.
