Dark ruby color, small off-white head. Caramel, light toasted notes in the nose. Sweetish, toasted flavor. Some alcohol in the finish. Nice, kind of light version (flavorwise) of Hr Fredriksen.

On tap @ Borefts 2013. Lovely looking in the glass with its really big and lasting ashy brown dense head on top of a near black body. The nose is not as toasty as it looks, more subtle but complex. I get soft chocolate and berry tones with light fruity undertones. It's definitely not what I would call extreme on the nose, but still quite nice. Lots more going on in the taste. It's first of all much more roasted than the aroma led to believe. Sweetened brown sugar with more soft dark fruity tones. It's really thick and oily in the mouth and it has a comfortable prickling soft carbonation level. Chocolate and even a little bit of faint faint chili in the aftertaste (that's quite sweet by the way). A bit to far out there on the sweet side perhaps, but I still kinda enjoy this one. 27.09.2013

Bottle share at the Rainbow IPA mini event at the King William IV. Thanks to Colin (although you might wanna try some yourself mate lol!). Almost opaque dark brown beer with a small pale tan head. Nice creamy dark malt with a touch of coffee and a whisper of dark chocolate. Tangy and slightly bitter dried fruits. Dry finish. Like the front end, the back end - not so much!
