Escaping from winter’s darkness, this hazy golden, unfiltered Kölsch style creates a fresh start. Our take on the classic hybrid style from Cologne, Germany, combines the subtle fruit notes of an ale with the smooth crispness of a lager for a bright, refreshing brew to help escape those lingering cold days.

12 ounce bottle from the Spring sampler. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin fizzy off-white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of pale dought malts and mild hops. The taste is mildly sweet doughy malts with a mild grassy hop finish. Medium bodied, high carbonation. Decent.

12 oz bottle from the Spring Variety Pack. Aroma is lemony, cotton candy, citrus drink powder. Pours hazy orange-gold with minimal white head. Taste is sweet and grainy with a sour edge. Nice and crisp, lemony, grainy. Not bad for a style that I usually don’t care for.
