Bottle. Slightly hazy rich yellow with off-white creamy head, refreshing citrusy aroma, medium carbonation, a bit sour yeasty taste, weak finish. Not a very remarkable beer.

Bottle. Huge white head atop a hazy golden brew. Lightly floral wheat and grass aroma. Tastes of light grass and light lemon.

12 oz. bottle into proper glass. Hazy gold with a lasting cap of fluffy white head. Nose is sweet grain and dough. Sam Adams did a nice job capturing the true essence of this style. Lemon citrus and sweet bread notes. I get a light crisp citrus hop hiding in the background. The body is light with a clean and crisp finish. Really true to style and a nice surprise by Boston Beer Co.

12oz bottle pours with deep gold body (deeper than most Kolsch I’ve had) that supports a 1 minute long dirty white head (again, pretty dark head for the style). The aroma offers up some malts and floral to slightly lime like hoppiness with vague fruity esters off in the background. Smells Kolsch-ish. The taste leans to the rich and heavy side for the style but manages to not get overly sweet like so many examples seem to do. I get malts mixing with floral and earthy lime like hoppiness as well as snippets of light skinned fruity esters and Pilsner like maltiness here and there. Into the finish it gets a little grainy to help add interest and cut into the sweetness. Overall this is a little too sluggish and heavy and a tad too sweet for a Kolsch. Still, this is better than many I have had. If it was a little less sweet I think I could actually enjoy this.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy pale golden color. Fluffy white head. Fresh subtle fruity malt aroma. Tart citrus malt flavor with a salty background. Light spicy hops. Very drinkable.

Pour is a hazy golden with a large white head. Aroma is slightly citric bitter and grainy. Flavor is more of the same. Kinda grainy and bitter but much thicker of a mouthfeel. A little pils type malt is left on the tongue after the swallow. It’s an ok beer just nothing new or exciting.

Bottle: Pours hazy, yellow/amber with a tall, frothy, eggshell head. Faint apple malt aroma, honey-lemon. Taste is mild, sweet grain, apple/citrus. Mild leafy/earthy qualities. Nice, easy drinking beer.

Pours hazy gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Fresh hay and caramel aromas. Crisp with sweet hay and bread upfront turning to a mild, earthy bitter finish.

Bottle from Bert’s Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a huge fluffy white head that persists forever. Aromas of bready pilsner malt with hints of lemon, spice, and sulfur. The flavor is lightly sweet honey and bready malt with hints of earthy and light spice to counter. Medium body with a spirited level of carbonation and a slick mouthfeel. Decent brew, but not really anything to write home about.
