12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 6/2014. Pours lightly hazy bright gold color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, bread, wheat, floral, grass, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of malt, hop, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, biscuit, wheat, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Minimal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, pear, apple, cracker, biscuit, floral, grass, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of bready malt, yeast ester, and moderate earthy hop flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice kolsch style! All around good balance and robustness of malt, yeast ester, and moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Sweet grainy malt aroma. Hazy yellow with a large white head. Barley malt, light spice, and citrus flavor. Medium body, lively carbonation.

Bottle. Floral linalool and light malt aroma. Lightly hazy golden yellow with giant white head. Lightly sweet linalool and barley malt flavor. Medium body. Lightly bitter herbal finish.

The nose is somewhere between grain and vomit… The beer starts much better than the nose - freshly hopped, more bitter than expected and very crisp. The mainpart is even a bit dry, Kölsch-typical smooth, even a bit dusty. The aftertaste is smooth, crisp and slightly sweet.
Nice brew, but a real Kölsch from Cologne (like Sünner or Mühlen) is much better! --> 10/12/9/9

Bottle at my friend’s wedding. Aroma was mild malt character with some light lemon citrus notes, crisp, clean smelling, but a bit weak and a tad too mild. Flavor started off pretty bland, but finish was pretty enjoyable - some crisp malts, lemon, a touch of earth. Pretty pleasant.

12oz bottle from Georgio’s Liqour, Billerica, MA. A hazy amber pour with a tight cream head; fresh grainy aroma; moreish soft caramel dominated taste with a hint of fresh apples and pears; and a crisp clean finish. A pretty good Kölsch that would not be out of place in Köln.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of citrus over light breadiness. Med body or nearly. Seems citrus over very light malt. It’s brightly hoppy at first, but then it goes almost completely bready til the next quaff. Probably good with pizza.
