This autumn ale is a showcase of the mighty Summit™ hop. Our friend Jason grows amazing Summits that combine pine, spice and captivating citrus aromas. A good dose of toasted malts provides warm, rich flavors to contrast the hops on the front palate. Cold fermentation gives a surprisingly crisp finish. We hope you enjoy this unique fall brew.

Reviewed from notes.
I had a sixpack of it and all of the beers were always poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a somewhat transparent amber color with some carbonated bubbles rising and filling a one finger white foamy head that dissipates within about a minute. The lacing ends up sliding into the body.
The smell had a super piney hoppiness running about it with light citrusy hops coming in every now and again.
The taste was mainly bitter which lead to the same aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, it sat fairly crisp and light and showed a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was harsh as well.
Overall, not a bad American Amber, but its basically just okay for the style and to me.

Draft @ Ale House Amesbury, MA. Clear amber color with no head. From the first sniff I knew I would be disappointed with this brew. It smells like they used Shipyard house yeast. (I really don’t like Ringwood) It smells like caramel malt and dirty dish water. The carbonation is fizzy like soda. The body is really thin. Oh man!... the flavor tastes like it smells. I would suggest that if Peak doesn’t have the capacity to brew all their beer in house, don’t contract it out for Shipyard to brew it. I didn’t finish my pint.

Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 3/22/13
Aroma: The nose is a mix of doughy/bready malts, caramel, citrus hops, and some light pine
Appearance: It pours a hazed caramel-brown color with a fluffy beige head and semi-coating lace
Flavor: The taste is mid-sweet and mid-bitter, starts malty, but it gets somewhat hoppy as well
Palate: This one has a medium body, a smooth, creamy feel, soft carbonation, and a dryish finish
Overall Impression: Interesting beer. This one was hoppier than I expected, and turned out to be pretty solid stuff. I'd grab this one again for a fairly sessionable Amber with a solid hop bite.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. Off-white head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Caramel, citrus and resin aromas. Thin to medium-bodied with sweet caramel upfront turning to earthy grapefruit in the lasting finish.
