Clean and smooth-bodied, Sleeman Light is a light beer that doesn’t compromise. The light-gold colour and dense white foam will catch your eye, but its exceptionally smooth body will catch your taste buds. You’ll get hints of fresh citrus, a subtle malt character and a very clean finish.

Had a sip of the last end of a bottle of this that had been sitting there for a while, but if anything that would probably add to the overall experience of this one. Papery and gross. Foul aftertaste. Cant wait to try the sleeman clear now - must be a real gem.

Honey nose, mild. Very pale yellow, headless. Corn with honey finish. Not bad. Has kind of a honeycomb cereal thing going on.

16 ounce can shared by Kinz at the 19th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering. Pours a clear pale amber color with a large frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of mild grass, mild toasted grain, raisin and the faintest hint of Mexican food. The taste is corn, mild grass, sweet finish. Thin and watery. Meh.

Bouteille 341ml. Couleur ambrée limpide, mousse blanche disparaîssant rapidement. Arôme et goût de carton, rien d’autre. Carbonation faible, aqueuse. Bof.

Originally rated November 2006. This is a newcomer in the province of Quebec... not too be confused with Sleeman Premium Light. This one is really a light swill. It pours a golden colour (surprisingly not too pale) with a white head that stays a bit and leaves decent lace. Heavy carbonation and strong nose of bitter/alcohol with some corn. Watery mouthfeel with a mild taste of corn. Not much else flavour. Their Premium Light was a huge step up from this. Too bad it is gone now.

Pale yellow appearance, small whitish foamy head, moldy aroma, high carbonation, slightly bitter taste with very abrupt finish. Not my style at all.

Free tick at Toronto airport lounge, draught
Blond color. Very light malt aroma. Weak mouthfeel, very light malt flavor; medium-low bitterness; weak and short final. Very close to water, but no off flavors.

Not to be confused with Sleeman Clear, the difference of which is, uh, I really don’t know. Pours with very little head and a light gold colour with plenty of carbonation. Aroma of pizza crust and cardboard, maybe like you’re licking the bottom of a really bland pizza. Flavour is a hint of lemon and bread and a hugely watery mouthfeel. The only thing I can say is: good on Sleeman for making money off people by selling them alcoholic lemon water; as they say, "a fool and his money are soon departed". Or something.

Bouteille 341ml.
