The gnomes of Fairyland are particularly fond of this golden beer. LA CHOUFFE, with its slight hoppy taste, combining notes of fresh coriander and fruity tones, is the drink which gives them their zest for life. At least, that's what these imps say when they are thirsty. Their secret used to be jealously guarded from one generation to the next until the day they shared the recipe with humans to seal their friendship. Of all the legends from the wonderful region of the Belgian Ardennes, the tale of LA CHOUFFE is the one which most merits re-telling.

Re-rated Smell-weak, hops, faint Belgian tones, banana. Foam-thin, weak hops, weak malt. Head is medium to large, white color. Sticks a bit. Appearance- nice beer-specific bottle cap, the label is quite simple, nice, but no bonus. Bit cloudy orange color, weak carbonation. From - snifter Taste- weak hops, weak sweetness, some Belgian notes, banana, very faint acidic tones. Potent, simple and drinkable Belgian, alcohol well hidden. Old score 19.08.2018 : 7/7/6/4/13=3,5 Nice dwarf bottle cap. Carbonated, gets quite big, medium softness, medium-thick, some constant bitterness with sweetness. First of all sweet, some bitterness, some alcohol aftertaste, and sweet bitterness. Not bad, but bit too much alcohol aftertaste.

Bottle at Bishops Arms, Sundbyberg. Hazy golden with a medium firm white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, fruit and light honey. The same in the taste, also some malt and light spices. The body was medium and the finish on the sweet side.

330ml bottle. Pours clear golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of sweet bready malts, spices, banana, typical Belgian yeast. Taste is sweet bready malt, spicy, banana, dried fruits, bittersweet. Medium body, soft carbonation. Superb Belgian Ale, can't believe it took me 3 years of beer rating to get to this, it's deserving of its praise and high ratings.
