Small shortlasting head, nice red-orange color. Aroma is slightly dry grainy, grass, rye, red berries, hay, berry skin, weeds, cereal. Taste is slightly sweet grainy, rye, grass, weeds, hay, red berries, minerals, sorrel. Little bitterness, slightly watery mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Draft at Oedipus, opening party for Carnivale Brettanomyces ’17, displayed as Gandalf the Red (Berliner Weisse with cherries). Light hazy deep golden/light amber color with a pinkish hue. Dense light pink head. Aroma’s: sourish, sour cherries.Retronasal it’s sourish, lactic, sour cherries, fruitstones/almond. Flavor is moderate sour, wheaty, lactic. Light bodied. A bit of a yoghurty wheaty finish.

Borefts Beer Festival 7th edition day 2 26/09/2015. A hazed pink orange coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is tart pink grapefruit, citrus acid, wheaty grains. Flavour is composed of dull wheat, pink grapefruit, tart cherry, a little funky blueberry yogurt. Palate is wheaty, mod carboantion, highish. Decent stuff.

Tap@Borefts 2016, Bodegraven - pink orange coloured pour with almost no head. Aroma and taste is light sour with prominent cherry, fruity and wheaty, light malt, yeast, tart fruity finish.

At BBF,very pale Red color with a tounge of oxidation, aroma of Red winey vinegar and cherries, vanila and berries flavor with some vinegar in the back, mellow But noticable sourness. Really nice and enjoyable.

At Borefts 2016. thnx for sharing,everyone ! Pours clear peachy, not much head. Smell is rich, full cherry, oak, some wine-notes. Taste is full, bit sweet, cherry. Very dry ! oak, mild ( hidden ) wine character. Sweet, but balanced. Drinks like a candy for the style. Where’s the sourness??? But as a drink, still pretty good.
