This one’s dedicated to our former office cat, Rosé! (Rosé now found a home with Torre, one of our long-time staff members.) Brewed with flaked oats and rice and spiced with a generous dose of hibiscus flowers. Conditioned on a puree of kalamansi and lemon, then dry hopped with Citra, Simcoe, and Amarillo. We wish you good health and eternal youth, dear Rosé.
Notes of clementine zest, Campari spritz, pink grapefruit, tart cranberry, and Meyer lemon.

16oz can pours a hazy watermelon red with just a swirl of white head. Nose has hibiscus, other flower petals, rose water, a little pickle. Flavor has the IPA, more citrus, clear grain bill with oats, hibiscus is there, watermelon too. Finishes lightly fruity, some tannic notes too. Crisp. 7 3 7 4 13

(On tap @ Warpigs, Copenhagen, May 11/17) Pours a nearly clear medium pink-tinged orange with a small whitish head. Lots of floral notes, perfumed, slightly spicy even, sweet lemon, orange and calamansi, though the citrus components are less prevalent in the taste, where the floral hibiscus quality is amplified, touches of herbal tea, relatively sweet, light leafy, grassy bitterness. Refreshing, though I think Id prefer it to be tilted a little more towards the citrus vs. hibiscus addition and/or let the hops sing more.

Can shared at Mechazilla Tokyo. Hazy rose pink color with a half a finger of champagne like foam. Floral aromas with hibiscus dominating the nose. Maybe some lemon and citrus as it warms, but the hibiscus is strong. Above average carbonation on the palate, with a honey sweetness. Still somewhat dry on the finish. Not bad, but a tad too floral and sweet. --- Beer merged from original tick of Rosé on 04 May 2016 at 22:44 - Score: 6
